So manavers no longer have a say. Is Sullivan making himself director of football?

Mirror reporting we have made an official bid for Obiang.

Find this weird if true that we are signing players before we know if a new manager wants them.

Must admit, know nothing of this fella.
But looking at his record seems a solid enough signing as a back up keeper.

I do believe Randolph also fits one of the 8 homegrown over age players we need for our 25 man squads next year for the Pl and Europa League.

Having him somewhat negates the need of keeping someone like Nolan or Jarvis just to keep the quota up.

Homegrown over 21

Randolph

Collins
Tomkins
Cresswell
O'Brien

Noble
Downing
Jarvis
Nolan

Carroll

This guy is good. Will push Adrian. If Adrian standards slip Randolph will be in. He is also a top lad.

Good signing.

When did we last sign a 45 year old goalkeeper on big wages then Nicey? You do make it easy for posters to poke fun at mate!

Seems a sound free signing to me. Cannot see any problem whatsoever with this.

Re: Next signing in 24 hours-David Sullivan.
Looks like a sensible signing to me

In the dark days we would have signed a 45 year old on huge wages and a long contract just to ensure someone gets paid.

Re: Next signing in 24 hours-David Sullivan.
McAvennie, Gale, Ward, Devonshire all signed from dire clubs AND the current bloke we have out there finding our players has a top record of doing so.

Trust the club professionals or some numpties on WHO?

Yep Adrian was another plenty moaned about having come here on the back of ONE season of football.

The truth is there are loads of goalkeepers out there that are either free or cheap, so I doubt we've just signed this player for the sake of it somehow, we would have watched him for a while I reckon and they have seen something they like and made the move.

Isn't picking up this sort of player the kind of thing Henry is lorded for?

EXACTLY
